Our Club has existed for a long time now, we are one of the oldest clubs on DA.
And thus, we want to take this opportunity to thank ALL OUR MEMBERS, because this club would not exist without YOU!

Since 2003 (oooh we are really old... See our white hair?) we have had many admins and owners.
We thought that we should a bit tell you about ourselves...

1) First, can you tells us a bit more about yourself? :
My name is Megan. I am a single mom who is working one job, starting her own business and looking for a second job to help pay the bills.

2) What are your hobbies, besides art? :
I make cards (thank you cards, etc) and mini albums. I hang out with my friends and family. Love watching movies and reading.

3) What types of art do you create most (i.e. photomanips, painting, crafts, drawings..) :
I do photography mostly. Still need to learn how to do photomanips. But I scrapbook (that is art also).

4) What are your beliefs about magicks? :
I am pagan.

5) Have you ever met inhabitant(s) of the Little Folk? :
I have seen fairies if that helps.

6) If you were a fantasy creature, what would you be (fairy, ogre, satyr, giant, elemental, etc.)? :
Fairy or unicorn.

7) What motivated you to become an owner of =Enchantedforest? :
I loved the group and when the previous owner could not take care of it, I stepped up. I am not the best owner but I try really hard.

8) Give us 3 sentences to describe how you see =Enchantedforest :
I would love for the group to be one of a loving community where we all can help each other. Teach each other new tricks. Provide stock and brushes to help with our photomanips. And encourage each other with comments (that are helpful) and with contests.

9) To come back to a purely administrative note : describe for us a bit of your job here
I am the owner and I do what I can to keep this group alive by paying the bills and helping make sure that everyone is taken care of here (sorry for my absence - I love my connection). I have admin that are extremely helpful in keeping us going and who have my back.

10) Anything you'd like to add? :
I want to thank all the members who are part of the group and make us who we are. I want to give a special props to the admin who have been my strength and who have my back. Without them, I don't know where we would be. I am especially greatly for Kare who has gone above and beyond in taking care of us.

1) First, can you tells us a bit more about yourself? :
Oh well I'm Kare, soon 35 years old -- gosh who got the idea for these questions... grrrr -- Now i'm feeling older and older because dA made me the extreme honour to get a senior status with a Deviousness Award!!
I live in France, in Bretagne, the french celtic land, with my 3 cats, that i dearly love. The fact that i'm french can explains you some boo-boo in the journal... languages differences . But i can always count on my dear Debra who correct many errors i make!
For the time i work in a call-center, for a french T.V. customers service. But as i was recently diagnostized with Fibromylgia i dunno what my future will be. But i'm customed to live day by day.
I planned to come back to study, in order to be a social-worker. i hope i can do it!
Another important thing : i'm talk-active and can babble a lot...

2) What are your hobbies, besides art? :
Mmmmhhh, dreaming, imagining, caring my lovely cats, flying away into other Worlds, discovering others cultures, other customs, tribes, being myself...
Dunno if all this is "hobbies" but that's my daily life!

3) What types of art do you create most (i.e. photomanips, painting, crafts, drawings..) :
I mostly do photomanips and digital mixed medias, because i've two left hands and i'm not able to draw or paint, i'm so sad about that, but i value so much traditional art because of that! And i'm planning to do some jewels inspired by fantasy and celtic myths.

4) What are your beliefs about magicks? :
Magicks for me is a general term, too much misunderstood in my point of view.
Now remember that above i told you that i babble a lot. Are you ready? go!
Magicks is what the Human eye can't see. Magicks surrounds us. It's conceptual because we can't catch it with our "eye sight".
Magicks can be defined to me, by "what can't be explained by human creations".
Here are some sample of what is magick.
Nature, prayers, smile, dreams, love and feelings in general, other worlds...
Many people associate magick with "black magick" or with witchcraft..., what's really wrong to my point of view.
When you pray your Divine (doesn't matter the way you call It, nor your religions or beliefs), it's pure magick! Because you're talking to a being that you don't even know if It exists! Isn't it magickal?
BTW, i follow the Celtic Path!

5) Have you ever met inhabitant(s) of the Little Folk? :
Yes.
But it's a secret, they told me to keep my mouth closed...
So...

6) If you were a fantasy creature, what would you be (fairy, ogre, satyr, giant, elemental, etc.)? :
i am!! Whassup!!! (gosh who made these stupids questions.. After a big thought i think it's me... with the help of Debra).
I can be called by several names, but to the human world i'll call myself a sylph with many Korrigans friends

7) What motivated you to become an admin of =Enchantedforest? :
I love fantasy, magicks and the Little Folks, so this club was perfect for me! I wanna help because i love to be involved and to particpate to build a strong community!

8) Give us 3 sentences to describe how you see =Enchantedforest :
Magickal.
Enchanting.
Carying.
These are 3 words but enough to describe how much i love this club!

9) To come back to a purely administrative note : describe for us a bit of your job here
Argh! I'm the devil admin who catch you when you fave art here, who reject your submissions, who make the features, keep updated the journals.
BTW, i love administrative work and organisation.
I'm the one who keep an eye on everything you do (hehe^^) and immediately hunt you down if you made an error

BTW i'm taking this opportunity to describe you what is an admin job... you'll undestand all the work we do without telling a word.

Here's a typical day :
_{Connection, see all the notes and messages alerts, arf, many work
Going to the note page and transfering each note into the correct folder, to organize a bit the work.
Reading the notes that does not belong to any folder. Usually angry people argueing or insulting... We rarely have some but it happens.
I recently managed a note of a deviant who faved in our club's gallery saying "why don't you convince dA admins to disable to fave option for club"... All this usually makes me laugh and feeling more intelligent! (remember i'm the evil admin here)...
Then i'll deal with faves. So going to the message center, opening one by one each deviation in a new window that had been faved by error (to verify if the deviant did not immediately unfaved). Sending out a note asking to unfave and refave the original.
Then going to the sent notes folder, transfering all unfave notes sent to the unfave note folder to keep track of who unfaved or not.
Then going to this folder, seeing the notes that have been read, reading them one by one, checking out if the deviant unfaved the work in our gallery or not. If not, i'm sending out a second warning note... I check also each old unread notes to see if the deviant has connected to his account and took our note in consideration. If not i send another reminder.
If after 3 unfaves notes the deviant still ignoring the original artist, i simply take the right decision to avoid future faves here by will. I can't accept volunteer misrespect towards our members.
I told you, i'm the evil admin!
Having a break.
Then go to the homepage of the club, checking out the comments in this page, reporting spams, and answering our sweet messages.
Then go to the message center and the "Pending membership notes" folder. I manage the membership demands. Looking if the deviant watch us and if the icon is on his/her page. If it's okay "welcome" and add the deviant to our watch list and our journal, otherwise i send out a note with our guidelines (it's at this point that i wonder why we created a menu with our guidelines...).
A break.
Then i go to the "submissions folder", first for each pending note i verify if each member devwatch us and if our icon appears on the page... If not, i send a reminder.
My fingers are hurting a lot at this point, the keyboard hates me... Fibromyalgia also.
Then i open the notes one by one and check for each if all guidelines are respected : credits, quality, topic... If it's okay i transfert the note into the submission folder where sweet Debra take the note and submit the deviation.
If not, i send a reminder note... about our guidelines that are in our menu...
After that i go to the message center and reply the messages, filling out our journal entry to tells us which creature you are and also keeping an eye on the poll if we have one at the moment.
Then if i've energy and time i go and make submissions...
When i've an idea for the club, i write it down not to not forget it and submit the idea to the other admins.}
Now i summon you : READ THE GUIDELINES!

I want the club to be a friendly and family community, several members pointed at this and they are right, we should get more ties between members, that's why we are creating new features and tools for you, you've seen many changes recently, isn't it?
So i can forget the administrative thingies and enjoy any of our members! Because when i see your art and your comments and participation that's a BIG LIGHT for me!

10) Anything you'd like to add? :
I'm so enchanted by all what you do, i'm amazed by the art you send and your comments! Keep it up!!!
Without YOU this Club will not exists, nor be what it is! So i wanna thank each of you!

1) First, can you tells us a bit more about yourself? :
I am a single partially-disabled mom of three boys (ages 27, 24, and 14). I currently work online in customer service from my home, as well as part-time graphic design. I’ve done some website design and hold a current high school English/Reading teaching license.

2) What are your hobbies, besides art? :
My passions (besides creating art) is beadworking, reading, and scrapbooking. I own a beadwork business, Sacred Dreams Custom Beadwork ([link]) and will be announcing a contest very soon for a new website design. I am an avid read – mostly supernatural romance, fantasy, gothic mysteries, and adolescent fiction. And in the last two years, I have become enamored of scrapbooking, both traditional and digital. I am part of the creative team at Mellow Butterfly ([link]) owned by the very sweet `chasing-butterflies).

3) What types of art do you create most (i.e. photomanips, painting, crafts, drawings..) :
I’ve been doing photomanips since September last year, as a change from traditional graphic design. Since December, when my son bought me a Wacom pen/tablet, I’ve been working on painting more and more into my deviations, but still have a very long way to go. I also do crafts – beadwork – but haven’t had time yet to create an account to display those.

4) What are your beliefs about magicks? :
I believe that true magic is a matter of belief and perception. There’s always a little spark of magic in all of us and in the beauty of everything we see around us.

5) Have you ever met inhabitant(s) of the Little Folk? :
I have yet to be so fortunate as to meet these enchanting creatures, but I do long for the day!

6) If you were a fantasy creature, what would you be (fairy, ogre, satyr, giant, elemental, etc.)? :
If I were a fantasy creature, I think I would probably be either a fairy or a dryad, as I am partial to both trees, and to beautiful, vivid colors. Forests are my very favorite places – where I feel most at home.

7) What motivated you to become an admin of =Enchantedforest? :
Actually, I was approached by our sweet admin, Kare, about becoming the submission admin and it was such an honor, I literally squealed with excitement! This club has been my very first club and one of my most favs

8) Give us 3 sentences to describe how you see =Enchantedforest :
1. Enchanted Forest is one of the absolutely best clubs on DA.
2. The fantastic members and the beautiful art is what makes this club “enchanted”.
3. Enchanted Forest brings me a little piece of fantasy in an otherwise mundane life!

I am the submission admin – I am the person who weekly submits your glorious artworks to our club!

I am truly grateful for this position as your admin and encourage all of you to keep submitting such beautiful artwork!

1) First, can you tells us a bit more about yourself? :
I am a single mother of two darling children, ages 3 and 5. I have worked in my own business for about 8 years doing graphic design work and mostly children's book and greeting card illustrations. I do whatever I can to stay home with my children and keep the utilities turned on However, what person cannot love doing children's books? It takes time and dedication and some hair pulling but its the best job! I have done illustrations for over 9 books so far.

2) What are your hobbies, besides art? :
I am the geek that is usually on World of Warcraft. I have a level 70 priest that I raid with. Now I tend to just pvp with her because I haven't had time to commit to raiding the rest of the Black Temple. I am a huge fan of movies. I am a dedicated Pixar follower being a computer animation graduate myself. Go figure that Pixar is associated with Mac which of course is the only computer I will ever own!!

3) What types of art do you create most (i.e. photomanips, painting, crafts, drawings..) :
I tend to draw mostly by hand and scan in and paint on my wacom tablet in Painter. I have done traditional paintings in oil and watercolor before but the materials just got to be too expensive. I really enjoy inking and colored pencil and I am a huge..HUGE fan of copic markers, just need to get the money to get those expensive suckers!

4) What are your beliefs about magicks? :
I believe that every child has magic within them. You see it in their eyes whenever they see something fascinating for the first time. Its that glimmer, that sparkle. It all depends that as we grow if we continue to dream and let our imaginations grow to keep that magic within or lock it up for it is what is considered expected in the real world.

5) Have you ever met inhabitant(s) of the Little Folk? :
So is that who has been eating all my socks out of the dryer? They owe me and my children about 50 socks!

6) If you were a fantasy creature, what would you be (fairy, ogre, satyr, giant, elemental, etc.)? :
Dragon. Not the fierce kind but the kind that may provoke fear at the beginning but realize that this is someone trust and have by your side. Like most things I feel that if you just look at the cover of most people, you never what they truelly hold underneath. However, I sure could be a nymph. I tend to be quiet the passionate thing in all ways!

7) What motivated you to become an admin of =Enchantedforest? :
I have to say, I have been with DA for some time. I switched my account to a newer account to reflect my company and clean up my portfolio. I never considered joining a club before until I ran into EF. I am so glad that this was the first club I have ever joined. I have thoroughly enjoyed the works by fellow fantasy artists, the wonderful addition to comments and useful critiques I have gotten, been completely honored and humbled by having my art featured with some. I don't know many if barely any of the other clubs in DA, but I know I will hold true to having EF continue to always be a club I will stick with. Fantastic work to the admins and those that I KNOW work hard to keep all those submissions rolling! And now having been honored with the offer of being one of the admin of EF, I just am truely humbled! So many great works! So many great people! I couldn't ask to be an admin of a better place!

8) Give us 3 sentences to describe how you see =Enchantedforest :
EF is a community to share in the magic and beauty of world of fantasy that can go as far as any person's mind wants to take it and EF is just the place to put it together in this beautiful melting pot of creativity, color, and imagery. EF is also a place where people come not to compete for +favs and who has the most pageviews but where you can be inspired, critique and help fellow fantasy artists grow and become even better than they are now. Finally, EF is that perfect community within the vast world of DA where fantasy artist can find their niche and be welcomed.

I get the lucky job to see and submit all the wonderful artwork!

10) Anything you'd like to add? :
Without your imagination and all of your wonderful works. this place wouldn't have grown so beautifully as it did to become an incredible club to join! Keep up all the fantastic work and keep your imaginations flying high.

My name is Terra. I'm 20 years old and a new mother.

2) What are your hobbies, besides art? :
I'm a member of the SCA (society of creative anachronisms) I'm currently an apprentice to a metalworker and have had my hand at various Metalworks (Casting, Forging and armour work.)

3) What types of art do you create most (i.e. photomanips, painting, crafts, drawings..) :
I am a traditional artist I mainly use Acylic and ink mediums.

4) What are your beliefs about magicks? :
I believe in nature and what I can see and feel. I don't put a face to the forces around me, but, I do honor them.

5) Have you ever met inhabitant(s) of the Little Folk? :
I'd like to believe so.

6) If you were a fantasy creature, what would you be (fairy, ogre, satyr, giant, elemental, etc.)? :
Probably a Dryad. I'd like to watch the world grow around me.

7) What motivated you to become an admin of =Enchantedforest? :
I'd like to help out in the clubs time of need, I would not like to see become abanddoned, like so many other clubs around dA when they get behind.

8) Give us 3 sentences to describe how you see =Enchantedforest :
A community to find individual with like art or beliefs.
The art is always beautiful and inspiring!
A family that keeps growing.
